School Halloween Party & Pumpkin Carving

Last night we went to Makele's school for the Halloween festival. Makele was so excited to get all dressed up and go. Poor little Jack came down with something earlier that afternoon, and wasn't feeling too chipper - although you can't tell in the picture below:He had to be held the whole time and kept moaning. But he refused to miss out on the party!
They had a ton of activities set up in each classroom, and Makele had to participate in all of them - ghostly prints, paper plate masks, ghost suckers, cracker spiders, popcorn witch's hands, Bat pins, smores, tissue flowers and more. The older kids had even set up a haunted house in their classroom that Makele went through (it wasn't scary - it just consisted of climbing under chairs and tables covered with cloth in the dark. Here she is trying to get that donut off the string:

On Wednesday we carved pumpkins. Jack wanted nothing to do with putting his hand in there to pull out the inards, but Makele loved it!
They both picked out their templates, and Jeff and I carved them for them.

The kids are so excited about tonight - I hope Jack feels better by the time we go!
