Last week was Roy Days. We went to the parade on Saturday morning where the kids made quite the haul on candy. I have never seen anything like it. Makele's bag was so full she could hardly lift it. She had no problem running out in the street and gathering up all the candy; Jack was a little more tentative, but he still got a lot.


On Wednesday we went to the Weber County Fair. We got there in time to see Kylie do barrels at her horse show, then we went to see all the animals. Aiden loved the goats, especially the one that nibbled on his fingers! The kids loved the Library booths where they played different carnival games. Jack showed the ball toss who was boss when he knocked the jugs over in two tries (they gave them 5 tries) and won a stuffed pirate parrot.
Despite this seemingly perfect throw, Makele wasn't quite so lucky.
She did get a butterfly painted on her face though:
