Stitches

Last night Jack had a little run-in with his dresser as he was getting ready for bed.  It bled like crazy; he had blood all down his face and on his hands.  Makele and Aiden were quite concerned and both kept trying to reassure Jack that it was okay.  They brought him blankets, and when we told Jack he would probably have to get stitches, Makele told him not to be scared, because she had to have them before and it didn’t hurt (because she was put to sleep at the time, but I didn’t mention that to Jack, LOL!).  We bandaged it up and took him in early this morning for stitches.

He was so brave during the whole thing.  The doctor decided not to numb it since it would take as many pokes to do so as it would to put the two stitches in.  He held very still  and didn’t complain until the last stitch when he said quietly, “that hurts.”IMG_1851 IMG_1852 You can see him trying to hold back the tears here after it is all done.  Poor little guy!IMG_1853

Ohhh! Poor Jack, he was very brave thought I can't believe he didn't cry or scream while they were doing it.
