1 in 48 Class

I'm taking a scrapbooking class at NYC Scraps that started yesterday. A sketch is posted every 48 hours along with prompts on page elements and colors to use. The goal is to get a layout done in that 48 hours before the next sketch is posted. I love working with sketches and figured this was a good way to get some layouts done. Here's my first one - that's right - I'm actually ahead of schedule!

Journaling Reads: Journaling Reads: Ah, Summer. Long hot lazy days, cold popsicles, and dips in the swimming pool. Today was the last day to enjoy all of this before Makele returned to preschool for the year. The last day of swimming in the little blue pool and running crazily through the sprinkler. August 29, 2007.
Next up: fall leaves, pumpkins and cooler weather!

Supplies: Patterned Paper, Chipboard photo corner, letter stickers, tabs: Rusty Pickle; Foam Letter Stickers & Pen: American Crafts, Rub-on: Basic Grey; Ink: Versa Color by Tsukineko; Photo Corners 3M; Embroidery Floss: DMC.
