I can't believe she is already five (as she's showing in the last photo). Please excuse the lousy scans on the first two photos. Did you notice that she had the same cake last year as this year? Jeff took her to pick out her cake this year and she picked the same one as last year! That makes three Dora parties in a row!
We were so busy yesterday that I didn't get a chance to post. It honestly doesn't seem that long ago when we would take morning naps together with her sleeping on my chest - she was so tiny then.
Today they had a special little presentation for her at school. One of her teachers set out a little sun on the mat and gave Makele a earth ball. 
As she walked around the sun the children sang, "The earth goes around the sun, the sun, the earth goes round the sun and Makele turns one." Then the teacher showed all the kids a picture of Makele when she was one, and I told something special about her when she was one. 
They kept doing that until they reached five. Then Makele went around the circle and each of the kids either gave her a handshake or a hug. It was so cute to see - a few of the kids even picked Makele up when they gave her a hug. She thought that was pretty funny!

Too funny about the cake - Wes did the same thing last year and the year before and probably this year as well since he wants ANOTHER dinosaur party.
