As usual on Easter morning, the kids had to find their baskets that the Easter bunny hid. They “helped” Taylee find hers right away behind the couch. She was pretty pleased with her little hopping bunny.
Makele found hers behind the curtain; I somehow missed the photo op with her basket. She got a hula hoop which she was pretty stoked about.
Aiden’s basket was hiding in the closet. He got a slaughter ball – that’s right, I’m calling it a slaughter ball because one, that’s what we always called dodge ball in middle school and two, in his hands that is exactly what it is.
Jack had a hard time finding his basket. He passed it several times. We finally had to play hot and cold with him so he could find it in the garbage can. That silly Easter Bunny hid it in the same spot as he hid Aunt Taryn’s all those years ago.
After the baskets were found we went outside to find the Easter eggs hid outside. Aiden found a few, but was more interested in playing ball.
The song, “(S)He wears short shorts,” comes to mind:

Not sure what this face is all about:
The kids had a fun Easter morning, which is good, because they were all sick as dogs for the rest of the day. Except Aiden. He was perfectly fine. He had been sick earlier in the week and had passed it on to the rest of us. Jack ended up throwing up all over the couch despite the fact that there was a bucket nearby. Fun, fun!
