We're Finally Here!

After what seemed like an eternity spent in the car today, we finally arrived in Phoenix (or I guess technically Mesa). The kids are bouncing off the walls (and beds) from being pent up in the car all day. We've had a good trip so far - bless the person who invented portable DVD players! We drove to my parents' house on Sunday night, then went to St. George on Monday. We went swimming with my sister-in-law, Tia and my niece, Chloe. Jeff was a good sport and got in with the kids so Tia and I didn't have to!



The kids' favorite part was the lazy river (or "crazy" river as Jack called it). It was pretty funny seeing Jeff try to keep three kids in line while floating along.

After swimming we went to see my brother Landon coach his little league team. Right before we left we were fortunate enough to see him hit a kid in the mouth with a baseball (okay, so technically he threw up a fly ball and the kid missed it with his glove but caught it with his mouth). Jeff had walked out on the field right before to get the house keys from Landon. Landon told the kid, "here, let Dr. Jeff look at it." Ha! The kid was okay, just understandably a little gun shy after that.

We went to Pirate Island Pizza that night - a new restaurant in St. George. The kids loved it - even though Jack looked a little hesitant as we went in, and he saw the pirate-esque decorations everywhere.
