Kelly Mickus

Kelly Mickus was another one of our digital sponsor's for the Oct/Nov issue of Ready, Set, Create. Her style is amazing - I could work with her stuff all day long and never get tired of it. I used her "Whisper" Kit on the layout below.

Supplies: Patterned Paper, Embellishments, Wordart: Whisper Kit by Kelley Mickus, www.thedigichick.com; Font: VT Portable Remington; Software: Adobe.

I used her "Our Story" Kit on the layout below.

And finally, I used her "Click" Kit for the layout below.

Supplies: Patterned Paper, Alphas, Embellishments: Click Kit by Kelley Mickus, www.thedigichick.com; Text Path: Jessica Sprague; Fonts: Capture It, Century Gothic, Life-Lessons; Software: Adobe. Based on a sketch by Juli Fish.

Another sponsor for the Oct/Nov issue was My Grafico. They have the cutest clipart! I made most of my baby thank-you cards from them and loved the way they turned out.

I used watercolor pencils and Stickles on the birds to jazz them up a bit. The watercolor pencils are super easy - you color in your image, then take a paint brush with a little water on it and paint over the color. It gives it a nice texture. You can color darker in the areas where you want more color - a little goes a long way. You can find watercolor pencils in the same place as the paints and sketch pencils in your arts and crafts store.

Supplies: Bird Clipart: My Grafico Cardstock: Bazzill; Patterned Paper, Rub-ons, Buttons: Rusty Pickle; Watercolor Pencils: Derwent; Glitter Glue: Stickles by Ranger.
